Competing for users’ attention and loyalty is an important strategic task for any company in contemporary business.
In this context, efficient marketing strategies and tools are key elements of success. In addition, the ability to adapt and innovatively approach marketing issues gives a company more chances to strengthen its position in the market and increase its profitability.
The Department of Marketing and Development of a football stadium in Canada has asked us to develop a mobile application and website as an effective tool to attract new visitors, increase sales, and strengthen regular clients’ loyalty. The main objective of the project is to provide users with modern tools and a set of functional possibilities that will make their experience of using the stadium services more comfortable, informative, and interactive.

This project is aimed at developing an application and a website that will increase the level of attendance and services for fans and visitors of a football stadium in Canada. The main objective of the project is to provide users with modern tools and a set of functional possibilities that will make their experience of using the stadium services more comfortable, informative, and interactive. With this application and website, visitors can easily purchase tickets for matches, get an up-to-date games schedule, give ratings to players and teams, as well as be informed about all news and updates related to the stadium.
We developed an intuitively understandable interface with easy navigation, which makes the process of users’ interaction with the application and the website as convenient and simple as possible. The registration system is possible via email, social media accounts, or a phone number. In a personal account profile, one can set up notifications and preferences, view a purchase history of tickets and season tickets, information about current promotions and special offers.
On the main page of the application and website, users can view a list of all upcoming football matches at the stadium and information about dates, times and teams, search for matches and filter search data by various criteria.
After selecting a specific match from the list of upcoming games, a user is redirected to a page specifically dedicated to this match with detailed information about teams, players and coaches. An interactive dashboard shows each player’s statistics, reflecting players' previous performances and qualification ratings. In the Match Review section, you can get information about each match and participants, evaluate a player and a team, leave your comments, and discuss the key points of the game with other users.
The interactive map of the stadium allows you to view sectors and places that are color-coded depending on their availability and ticket prices. Users can select specific seats at the stadium, add them to the cart, and make a payment. Tickets are purchased using credit cards, electronic wallets, and other popular payment methods. Tickets are saved in the app as electronic tickets with QR codes for easy access to the stadium. For security and confidentiality reasons, all transmitted data is encrypted, authentication mechanisms were implemented, that determine access to administrative functions only for specific users in accordance with the access control strategy and the principle of minimum rights.
As a result of the successful implementation of the project, our client was able to achieve significant results: an increase in stadium attendance, an annual increase in sales of tickets for matches and season tickets by 16%, a working and effective marketing tool that enables promotions, newsletters, and advertising campaigns to attract new visitors and strengthen the loyalty of regular ones.
Our client from the field of sports and entertainment faced a serious problem — the lack of efficient marketing tools to promote their sport events and attract fans. Low stadium attendance rates and poor sales of tickets and season tickets also affected the attraction of sponsorship, as the lack of visibility and success of sports events made them less attractive and profitable for potential sponsors’ investments.
Therefore, they were looking for a technical partner who could develop a comprehensive solution to increase awareness of events, attract more visitors, and improve users’ experience of interacting with the stadium services. At the first meeting with the client, we discussed in detail their business tasks and objectives. The client's marketing and analytics department acquainted us with the data of the market and target audience analysis, which revealed fans’ needs and preferences, as well as the shortcomings of the existing marketing tools. Having the necessary technical specialization and understanding of the specifics of this industry, we could offer a solution and guarantees for the project's successful implementation on time and within the budget.

Our Aionys team consisted of experienced specialists and included a Team Lead, Full Stack Developers, a Mobile Developer, Quality Assurance Specialists, and a UI/UX Designer. This approach to the selection of team members allowed us to effectively and flexibly solve the project tasks using our expertise and experience, and to ensure high quality and reliability of the final solution.


We used Vue.js to develop the front-end part of the website; to develop the back-end part, Node.js was used; the mobile version of the application was created using Flutter technology. We used MySQL as a database, and Amazon Web Services for hosting. For reliable and secure online payment for tickets and season tickets, the integration with PayPal and Stripe services was made, as well as the ability to pay with credit or debit cards. We also implemented the integration of generating and scanning QR codes for electronic tickets and stadium access. The complex use of these technologies and services allowed us to create a modern solution to improve users’ experience, providing them with security, convenience, and functionality.
For the successful organization and management of the software development process in this project, we chose the Scrum methodology, since collaboration and effective communication between all team members were important focuses in this project. It also enabled the client's team to transparently evaluate and monitor tasks fulfillment and goals achievement. We conducted regular Sprint Reviews and Daily Scrums, which allowed us to accurately assess our progress, respond quickly to changes, and change priorities in accordance with the project dynamics.
In this project, we were a technical partner, having experience not only in developing mobile app and websites but also in finding suitable integrated solutions to achieve strategic business objectives. Having a clear understanding of the client's needs and goals, our technical approaches and methods were maximally focused on achieving the planned final results. Together with the client’s team of marketers and analysts, we created a user-friendly application and website that became an effective tool for attracting new visitors, increasing sales, and strengthening the loyalty of regular visitors.
