Hotels play a crucial role in creating a positive experience for their guests. The main goal of the hotel business is to provide a high level of hospitality and meet every visitor’s needs. In this context, hotels strive not only to meet customers’ expectations but also to exceed them, creating a unique and memorable experience.
That is why modern tourists are no longer just looking for a place to stay overnight – they look for getting unforgettable impressions and unique offers. Modern service and hospitality are key factors for the success of a hotel. In the highly competitive environment of the hotel industry, it is necessary to constantly look for new ways to improve the efficiency and quality of customer service. One of these ways is to create a mobile application.
Our client from the USA is aware of the need for a mobile application to improve the management efficiency of the hotel structure and the quality of their customer service. To remain competitive, the client was looking for innovative solutions that would help optimize the customer service process, modernize the hotel's working process, and offer personalized offers and services to guests.

The goal of our project was to create a mobile application for the hotel business, with the possibility of integration into the architecture of the hotel. This application would improve the efficiency and quality of guest service, as well as provide personalized offers and services. The project was aimed at developing a mobile application using advanced technologies and optimizing all the stages of guest service: from booking rooms to providing additional services at the hotel. Our app was integrated with the hotel's platform, allowing guests to access all the necessary information about the hotel's services and facilities in one place. The previous hotel platform was modified and now includes features such as a chatbot for customer service, a loyalty program, and a service booking module. Also, the mobile app provided guests with personalized recommendations based on their preferences and previous stays.
As a result of the project, a mobile application was created that has the following features:
- Room booking: guests can book and pay for hotel rooms via the mobile app, choosing the desired parameters and amenities.
- The application developed by us provides keyless access for guests. Guests can freely move around the hotel and open their rooms using smartphones, without the need for magnetic cards or keys. Thus, our application not only improves booking and service processes but also provides a modern and safe living experience.
- The application allows you to emulate a smart home, namely, to control lighting, and cleaning time, turn on videos on a TV, and change the temperature in the room.
- On the app guests can order additional services, such as arranging transfers, taxis, and room cleaning, which significantly increases guests’ satisfaction.
- The application provides an opportunity to leave reviews and give ratings, which helps the hotel business to improve its list of services.
In addition to the functionality for guests our developed mobile application has a number of additional features for the hotel management and staff:
- The built-in chat on the mobile application allows the hotel staff to communicate with each other in real time. This contributes to more effective coordination and interaction within the hotel, as well as helps quickly resolve arising issues.
- The mobile application provides a unique opportunity for the hotel management to track their staff's physical movement via the location system. This function provides more effective monitoring and coordination of employees’ work.
- The developed mobile application provides an opportunity to track all financial transactions related to hotel services. The management can monitor guests’ payments, control the budget, as well as control payment reporting.
- The system implemented by our team provides access to video footage from the hotel's webcams. This allows management to monitor various areas of the hotel in real time, ensuring guests’ safety.
- The mobile application allows the management to immediately contact the security post of the hotel. In case of emergencies, quick access to the security service ensures an immediate response to any incidents, guaranteeing guests’ safety and prompt resolutions of possible problems.
- The system, we developed, stores and processes information about each guest, including their preferences, the history of their stay at the hotel, special requests, and feedback. The management and the staff can access this information to provide high-quality and personalized service. This helps the hotel adapt its services to the needs of each guest in order to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

In today's world, where technology and mobile applications are an integral part of people's lives, the hotel industry cannot ignore this trend. Mobile applications for the hotel industry provide a wide range of different services, such as the convenience of booking rooms, personalized offers, and services, as well as improved feedback. However, the development of such an application requires careful consideration of the target audience’s needs and integration with the existing hotel systems. It is extremely important to ensure the accessibility and usability of an application for all guests.
Our client was striving for leadership in their niche, so they needed innovative solutions that would help optimize their customer service, improve security, and offer guests multipurpose and personalized offers. Therefore, they were looking for a partner who could provide a full range of services and expertise at all stages of development.
In order to effectively achieve our client's business goals, we held several preliminary meetings to fully understand their requirements and develop an individual solution that would meet their specific requirements. Based on the collected data, we developed a project of a mobile application and prepared a plan for its implementation.

For the successful implementation of the project, a team of development and design specialists with the experience and knowledge demonstrated in previous projects was formed. It included a Scrum Master, 2 Mobile Developers, a .NET Developer, a Database Developer, a UI/UX Designer, and a Quality Assurance Specialist. The team’s experience and knowledge were key factors for the effective and rapid implementation of the project.


The key factor for choosing technologies to develop a mobile application was the effective provision of a user experience for the hotel guests, as well as high productivity and efficiency. To develop a mobile application that provides high efficiency and effectiveness, we used Swift and Kotlin. These are native programming languages that allow you to create high-performance applications with high response speed. For the Back-End part, we used .NET technology, and we used MSSQL to store information about bookings, guests, and hotel services. Both technologies are widely used in the corporate environment.
For this project, we opted for the Scrum development methodology, enabling us to adopt a structured approach to managing the development process. This decision facilitated a more flexible response to customer requirements and enhanced transparency in work and communication within the team. Additionally, it fostered collaboration and ensured alignment with project objectives.
Within the framework of this project, the Aionys team played a key role in the development of a mobile application for the hotel business in the United States. We developed a mobile application, considering all the requirements of our client. Our main goal was to create a multipurpose solution that provides an excellent user experience and increases the efficiency of the hotel. Our experience in mobile application development and deep understanding of the hotel business helped us create a product that provides an excellent user experience and increases the efficiency of the hotel.
