Introduction

In outsourcing company relations, it is often expected that the common interests of all parties will be taken into account.



However, the contract often demonstrates the opposite. Most of the risks are shifted to the supplier's side, and when something goes wrong, the customer and their end user suffer more.

One of our latest projects with IET was not long, but no less important. Working according to the Fixed Price model, our team took full responsibility for implementing the project within a pre-agreed budget. The project was successfully completed in a short period of about one and a half or two months. A small but efficient team of three people worked in it, which allowed us to adhere to all agreements and at the same time show high-quality work.

Project Description

The project was to develop a web application for the IET client. The task seemed simple at first glance, but we encountered some obstacles on the way. We love unexpected challenges in projects, so the lack of a back-end from the client's developers did not become a difficulty for us. The solution was to create a fake Back-End, which allowed testing and developing the Front-End. The Swagger application was used to create a fake Back-End. This allowed the team to work without waiting for a real Back-End and meet deadlines.

Client’s Problem

Many people believe that the Fixed Price model has its advantages. But it also requires careful planning, compliance with clear requirements, and open communication between a customer and a contractor to avoid potential problems and conflicts. Therefore, it is very important to choose the right partner who will not let you down and will do the job taking into account all the criteria.

Due to our experience and expertise, we analyzed the project efficiently and made an accurate and correct assessment, which helped to prevent possible problems with the budget and deadlines.

Solutions & Approach

We understood that good communication between the teams is important for the successful implementation of this project. Therefore, an important criterion for selecting a team of developers was a high level of English to communicate directly with the client's team. To ensure the fulfillment of the tight terms of the project, we selected experienced specialists (Seniors) who had deep knowledge and experience in the relevant technologies. This made it possible to solve problems and cope with challenges in the project effectively.

Applied Technologies

To develop the Front-End part of the platform, we used Vue.js, the Back-End developers were from the client’s side and used Java. The technologies had been determined in advance by the client and were one of the criteria for team selection.

Application of flexible Development methodology

To manage software development projects, we used the "Waterfall" methodology, since the project cost had been fixed and all requirements had been determined in advance. Weekly demo presentations allowed the client to see our work and give feedback. We have always maintained open communication with the client to clarify details and resolve emerging issues during the development process.

What is Our role

The role of Aionys was to provide technical solutions and IET support in completing tasks on time for their end customer. Together, we completed the project on time and fulfilled the requirements of a fixed price so that our partner could successfully provide the application to their end customer and avoid losses.

Results & Achievements:

Due to the cooperation with Aionys, the IET client managed to achieve the following results:

  • Easy-to-use and navigate web application tailored to all customer’s requirements.
  • Project deadlines and budget limits have been met, while the quality of work results remained unchanged.
  • IET successfully prevented possible losses and promptly presented the finished application to its end customer.
  • The IET client has received a reliable and high-quality solution in the form of a web application.
