Over the past few decades, the food delivery industry has been growing rapidly.



It has become an integral part of modern life, providing millions of people around the world with convenient solutions for ordering food and drinks. The global online delivery market is expected to grow enormously from 2023 to 2030, with an average annual growth rate of 10.5%. According to forecasts, by 2027, the US market volume will reach 473.50 billion dollars, which will correspond to a growth rate of 15.10% for the period from 2023 to 2027. It is also important to note that the food delivery market is a most highly competitive one, with major players such as Uber Eats and DoorDash.

Having started our cooperation with One Market, we began developing their mobile application for food and drink delivery. Initially, the project was aimed solely at developing and launching a mobile application. The application developed by us quickly gained popularity among clients due to its functionality and a wide range of offers. However, as is often the case in the business world, the startup faced unexpected challenges. After some time of its functioning, it was noticed that the mobile application was not being fully used. This was a signal for us and our web development team to start working on strategic reengineering. Together with the client, we decided to shift the focus from the mobile application to the development and modernization of the website. This transition was a difficult, but also an important stage in the evolution of One Market, which required not only technical competence but also the understanding of the client’s and their audience’s unique needs.

Project Description

The main goal of the project was to create an innovative and user-friendly web platform that provides technical reliability and professional implementation. Our team sought to strengthen our client's position in the online food delivery market by providing a technically advanced and efficient solution that combines innovative technologies and advanced working methods. Our task was to develop a modern and functional website capable of processing orders efficiently and providing a pleasant and intuitive user experience based on high technical reliability and professional implementation.

By implementing a robust front-end architecture, our website provides smooth access and functionality on a variety of devices, improving users’ experience. One of the key features of our platform is a noticeable menu with high-quality images, detailed descriptions, and prices. This not only attracts potential customers but also helps to satisfy a variety of dietary preferences with filters such as vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. We also implemented a secure online ordering system with the option to pay, which allows clients to place orders for delivery or pickup directly via the website. This increases efficiency by making the ordering process faster and easier, which consequently increases sales.

In addition, we developed and integrated the option of online tipping. Now customers have the opportunity to express their gratitude to the restaurant staff for delicious food and high-quality service by leaving tips online. This convenient solution allows customers to show their appreciation in just a few clicks, making the process of tipping quick and easy. The online tipping system ensures transaction security and convenience for all parties, making payment and expressing gratitude easy and carefree.

Our website also has a lot of advantages besides the evident functions. It offers round-the-clock accessibility, allowing clients to browse the menu, make pre-orders, and access information at any time, even outside the restaurant's opening hours. The online platform serves as an excellent marketing tool that allows the restaurant business to reach a wider audience without significant costs. Moreover, our team implemented the function of integration with various delivery services, which allowed us to optimize costs and shorten delivery times. As a result, our client can provide faster and more efficient services by making the ordering process much more convenient.

The developed website ensures technical reliability and professional implementation, thereby significantly contributing to the success and development of the restaurant, while enhancing its quality and client service.

Client’s Problem

A technological and modern website plays a crucial and key role in the restaurant business, ensuring a company’s success and competitiveness in the modern digital world. For a restaurant business, a website is not just a platform for orders, but also a business card of the brand, which embodies the uniqueness and individuality of a restaurant, as well as allows customers to learn about the restaurant and its offers. A customer's decision to order dishes directly depends on how convenient and aesthetic a website is. That is why modern consumers expect high functionality, ease of use and attractive design from a web platform.

When One Market faced the problem of inefficiency of the mobile application, it immediately affected their business. Unsatisfied customers and low user activity became serious problems for the reputation and profitability of the business.

One Market, realizing the need for change, decided to radically reconsider its approach to its business development. The company decided to shift its attention to the development of a web platform that would become the main channel of interaction with customers and the hallmark of the restaurant. The story of Yantao, an employee of Polarr, became the key point in our cooperation with One Market. Yantao, who had previously worked for Polarr, joined One Market and became the link between our team and the One Market team. The knowledge of our work and the professionalism shown in his previous collaboration with Polarr inspired him to recommend us as one of the best developers on the market.

This fact emphasized our succession and commitment to building long-term relationships with clients. We paid special attention to ensuring that all the client’s needs are met by providing detailed advice and demonstrating our developers’ level of professionalism. Solutions & Approach

For the successful implementation of the project, we selected experienced and highly qualified developers with proven experience in previous projects. Applied Technologies

To develop the One Market web platform, we decided to use React, one of the most popular and powerful JavaScript libraries for creating user interfaces. The choice of React for this project is justified by several convincing reasons that made this tool the ideal choice to achieve our goals and client’s expectations. One of the key advantages of React is its component architecture, which allows you to divide an interface into smaller, independent, and reusable constituents. This simplifies the development, service, and scalability of web applications, making the code cleaner and easier to maintain. React also provides user-friendly tools for managing an application status and interface updates in real time, which is crucial for creating a dynamic and responsive user interface.

Application of flexible Development methodology

Utilizing the Scrum methodology allowed us to enhance project management practices, ensuring that requirements were consistently reviewed and adapted as necessary. Work progressed in iterative development cycles, with tasks clearly defined and delegated to team members at the onset of each sprint. Regular reviews at the conclusion of each sprint were conducted to showcase the progress made and outcomes achieved.

We started by analyzing the client’s requirements and conducting research to understand the business structure and the target audience.
