In the US megacities, a car is a necessary companion in everyday life.



But along with the opportunities, there are also troubles, especially those related to road accidents. An accident is a complex and serious situation that can affect all its participants’ lives and health, as well as may also entail significant financial obligations. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2019, car accidents cost the US society $340 billion and resulted in 23 million damaged cars. Therefore, to protect themselves and their car from unexpected expenses, many drivers purchase insurance.

Our client came up with the idea of creating an innovative product that would solve the problem of interaction between different establishments in case of an insurance accident in the USA. This platform should combine the services of insurance companies, lawyers, and doctors, which will effectively coordinate and simplify interaction in case of an insured accident.

Project Description

The project was focused on developing a platform that would solve the problem of interaction between various establishments in case of an insurance accident in the USA. Its main task is to combine the services of insurance companies, lawyers, and doctors, which will effectively coordinate and simplify interaction in case of an insured accident.

The algorithm of the platform is to automatically register information about an insured accident when it occurs. The insured can get acquainted with the profiles of available lawyers and make a decision based on the results of choosing various parameters and their preferences. After choosing a lawyer, they specify the data into an insured case form, which contains the necessary information about the accident. This information is automatically registered on the platform, which is transparent and accessible for all participants in the process. In addition, the insured has the opportunity to choose a doctor who will participate in the insured accident. The doctor gets full access to the information about the accident and can determine necessary medical measures and treatment.

We understood that the platform should be intuitive and easy to use for all participants – insurers, lawyers, doctors, and insurance companies. Therefore, we developed a convenient and logical platform interface with easy navigation for each user’s comfort, taking into account specific requirements and localization for the US market. The user can choose a lawyer, a doctor, and an insurance company based on various characteristics such as price, location, work experience, and specialization. You can also check other clients’ ratings and reviews to make a more informed choice. This made it possible to make the platform more personalized, taking into account each user’s individual preferences and needs.

For a more comfortable and effective interaction between participants, the platform is integrated with existing insurance companies, legal organizations, and medical institutions. To implement integration, API (Application Programming Interface) was used, which allowed creating the points of interaction and data transfer between the platform and other systems.

Ensuring data security and protection was an important issue of this project. To prevent unauthorized access to information about insurance accidents and clients’ data, the system had users’ reliable authentication and authorization. Cloud data encryption is used to protect the confidentiality of clients’ data when exchanging information with clients, lawyers, and medical institutions.

The main task is to combine the services of insurance companies, lawyers, and doctors, which will effectively coordinate and simplify interaction in case of an insured accident.

Client’s Problem

In the United States, there is no general federal system regulating motor vehicle insurance, and each state sets its requirements. This creates different rules and insurance policies that are important to consider when choosing an optimal action plan.

The client's business analysts carefully studied the legislative and legal aspects of different requirements in the fields of insurance, legal practice, and medical care. The platform must comply with all legal regulations and provide up-to-date documentation and forms.

Therefore, they were looking for a partner who had the necessary expertise and experience of working with the US market users. It was also required from the future development team to be ready to analyze a large amount of information and quickly adapt to changes.

We organized several meetings with the client to fully understand their expectations and goals. Confidence in the capabilities of our team allowed us to guarantee the client the successful implementation of the MVP of the project within the agreed time limits.

Solutions & Approach

To comply with the strict deadline of the project, we selected experienced Seniors, mid-level Developers, and a QA with in-depth knowledge and experience in the necessary technologies. This significantly influenced the effective task accomplishment and the successful overcoming of challenges within the framework of the project. Due to the incomplete description of the requirements, it was decided to use an interactive approach in development. This methodology allowed us to get started quickly and provide demo versions to the client after each cycle. The process continued uninterruptedly, taking into account the client's feedback, and constantly improving by suggestions and revisions.

Applied Technologies

We used Angular to develop the Front-End of the platform website, and .NET for the Back-End. React Native was used to develop the mobile application.

With the help of the chosen technologies, it was possible to significantly speed up the process of developing and testing the platform, which, in its turn, reduced the overall costs of the project.

Application of flexible Development methodology

Scrum development methodology was chosen for this project. This allowed for a structured approach to managing the development process and a more flexible response to customer requirements, as well as increased transparency of work and communication within the team.

What is Our role

Aionys' role was to offer its technical expertise in developing platform solutions and experience in working with startups. Thanks to our collaboration, the client received an MVP of a multifunctional platform, taking into account all legislative and legal aspects.

Summary

As a result of the cooperation with Aionys, the client received the MVP of the platform, which combined services of insurance companies, lawyers and doctors, and allows for effective coordination and simplification of interaction in case of an insured accident. A registered user can choose a lawyer or a doctor based on various characteristics and ratings from other clients. The platform helped solve the problem of interaction between various establishments in case of an insurance accident in the United States.
